He started his ministry at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Toledo Ohio, 1964 - 1973, where he served as pastor of Youth and Education, and later as Pastor of Congregational Life. A call then came from Florida and he served as Pastor of Advent Lutheran Church, Orange Park, Florida from 1974 until his retirement in 2004.

 

Since 2004 he has served Interim assignments at Gethsemene Lutheran (Gainesville), St. Mark Lutheran (Jacksonville), and Spirit of Christ Lutheran (Lake City).

 

Pastor Dave is married to Irene for almost forty-five years. They have two married children and a granddaughter. He also has a multitude of puppets who assist him with the Children's services....a delight to young and old alike.
